Sarah Caputo

I live in Norfolk and studied Fine Art as a mature student at NUCA graduating in 2007. I have a fevered approach to my work and consequently use as many media and methods as I can lay my hands on resulting in sculpture, drawing, printmaking, painting and ceramics and often an amalgamation of all these disciplines. I am fascinated with the way we all perceive things differently and leave my work open to many interpretations, but have an underlying interest in our relationship with the natural world and the ways in which other artists have tackled this relationship in the past.

My life has a direct connection with my arts practise and I have a house filled with an eclectic mix of things I have collected and my garden is a ramshackle forest of overgrown cuttings. I teach printmaking, sculpture and ceramics and lecture in art and wellbeing. I travel whenever I can to gain creative input and since graduating my work has been exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally.
