Kim Scrivener
I have been crafting for as long as I can remember. I learnt embroidery and knitting from my Mother, and later moved on to painting and decorating and dress making, which evolved into curtain making when I got my first home.
A few years later after one husband and two children we moved to Dereham in Norfolk, where I was invited to a scrapbooking class which I took to like a duck to water. After a year I was approached to become a consultant which after lots of discussions with my husband I decided to take on, and I am still a consultant now.
One day one of my fellow consultants invited me to a Christmas card making session; I went and have never looked back. Although I have never stopped the scrapbooking I must admit that over the years the card making has taken over and I love it with a passion.
I love the variety and that no two cards are ever the same. Last year I joined the Mixed Media workshops at the Gallery and through this have found other methods that I have adapted to use on my cards.
Having taken the leap from making to selling my cards in The Gallery I am now starting my next venture of teaching card making and scrapooking workshops. |
