Claire Kreetzer

Claire has been studying silversmithing and jewellery design for four years. Recently her work has grown in size and evolved into a more sculptural format. She is particularly interested in gilding and uses this as a basis for her work.

Claire’s designs incorporate many tiny jewel like elements built up to create multi-layered pieces of art. She has also played with the concept of fragility versus strength in her subject matter - having taken the idea of fragile butterflies and creating them from strong hard metal.
